Mark Conneway
Mark enlisted in the US Army in 1996 as a Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator. His first unit of assignment was to the 525th MI BDE (ABN), 224th MI BN (AE), where he executed clandestine aerial SIGINT collection missions in support of an anti-drug task force operating in the Caribbean islands. In 1998, he was reassigned to D Co., Military Intelligence-Low Intensity (MI-LI) in Panama where he conducted similar SIGINT and IMINT collection operations in support of a Joint Task Force including the Armed Forces of Colombia, Colombian National Police, and U.S. Special Operations Forces. In 2001, Mark was assigned as a U.S. Army Recruiter where he served until his selection for 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D) in the spring of 2004.
While assigned to 1st SFOD-D, Mark held many different positions that included Maintenance team member, Research and Development team member, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) team member, ISR 2IC, and Special Activities Troop (SAT) TSE Team Sergeant. Mark deployed worldwide on numerous high level surveillance missions to include operations throughout Iraq. He served as the OIC of the Joint Interagency Technical Operations Command Center for Iraq (JIATOCC) in 2007 and again in 2008. Mark has also trained in most of the United States and overseas to include Germany, Puerto Rico, South and Central America, Korea, Israel, and Thailand.
In 2009 Mark left Delta to become the First Sergeant for a NSA SIGINT collection company in support of PACOM, and also served as the Brigade Operations Sergeant for the 513th MI BDE, and Battalion Operations Sergeant for a forward-deployed Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) collection Battalion operating throughout southwest Asia.
Mark attended several military schools to include, among others, the Static Line and Military Freefall Parachutist Courses, Combat Skills Course, SERE, Advanced Weapons Course, and Operational Security Managers Course. In addition, he also attended many civilian surveillance, survivability, and technical courses, & other federal agency courses.
In March of 2011, Mark came to Tactical Support Equipment, Inc. to serve as the Director of Training for the National Reconnaissance Battle Lab (NRBL) located in Fayetteville, NC. He also continues to serve as a Master Sergeant in the North Carolina Army National Guard.
